New Kid *180*

I think Jordan feels overwhelmed. On page 179, It says that he has to leave and he starts running. Dealing with school is tough when Jordan is new to it. Jordan remains mostly calm but i think he’s overwhelmed and nobody knows it.

New Kid *Pg 130*

I think the bullies are starting to see Jordan as a threat. He has gained a lot of friends and the bullies think that everyone likes Jordan. On page 65, the bullies said “Enjoy your lunch, girls.” They were trying to get in Jordan’s head.

White Bird *Final*

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I gave it 5 stars because I really do think it was amazing book. The story and the characters were awesome.

Sara

Sara is my favorite character because she is bold, brave. and is always kind. She is strong willed and she always has a smile on her face. If I could ask all the characters in the book what they think about Sara, they would all say she amazing, well not the bullies.

When Sara thinks about how her dad used to hold her up to fly like a bird

I chose this moment because I thought it was very sweet and caring. She loves when she imagens she’s flying with her dad.

White Bird *Finish Book*

Sara must of been happy Julian passed and was free. Julian is free from all of the war and hatred against Jews. Sara must of thought he would have a better life and that is true. Sara misses Julian very much but she will always know Julian is one of her most faithful supporter during the war.

White Bird *Part 2*

I think Julian cares about Sara a lot. He didn’t like Sara seeing him beaten up. He must of thought Sara would think he is pathetic. When he yelled at Sara he was mad because he wanted to appear big and strong but he looked rather tired.

White Bird *Part 1*

I think Sara is unsure if she really wants to be Jewish. She is constantly being bullied by people who are Jewish. On page 32 and 33, it says β€œHey, you’re a pretty good artist for a Jew. She was shocked by the answer. Being a female Jew does have its disadvantages. She gets called names and she is always getting attacked for something she has done. Thankfully she has two friends to support her from guys like Vincent.

The Giver Summary

The Giver by Lois Lowry describes how Jonas is chosen to be the Receiver of Memory but there is something called being released. In the beginning, Jonas was chosen to be the Receiver of Memory. After that , he starts his training. While he was training, he is receiving memories from the Giver. Another thing that happened during his training was that he starts to see colors. On his journey to prepare to be the Giver, he found out what being released actually means. In the end, Jonas escaped the community. When he escaped, he started to drift off. Then he possibly died but the book doesn’t say if he actually did.

Ruby in the Sky

🌟🌟🌟

I gave this book 2 stars because it didn’t catch my interest when I was reading.

Bob Van Doodle

I chose Bob Van Doodle as my favorite character because I love dogs and Bob was such a good character in the book.

Ruby’s mom got arrested

I wouldn’t say it was a good part but it was a part that got my attention. There was a lot of questions going through my mind during it. Even though it wasn’t a happy part it still was interesting.

Ruby In The Sky

Ruby finds Abigail Jacobs(The Bird Lady) very fascinating. On page 139, The text said “Why are you always reading about The Bird Lady?” After Ellen said that Ruby closed the NASA tab. Ellen said that her father will get rid of the bird lady but Ruby might be thinking that it shouldn’t be done.

The Giver

I think The Giver has the memory of snow and color from the previous giver. I think that Jonas is worried about what pain will come to him as The Receiver. He probably thinks that there will be painful and athletic training but I think it’s just natural things like a sunburn or maybe even a twisted ankle. It could be anything that is simple enough to the point that everyone in the real world has experienced it. Even though the characters in The Giver can’t see color and they don’t have weather, Jonas has never experienced a sunburn until The Giver gave him the memory. Since he has never experienced pain, he will probably think it will be the worst thing anyone has ever experienced.
