I think Lester is trying to get to his significant other which I think is Tammy. On page 68, it says “Tammy, you know I wanna get there. Of course I do.” Lester also called Tammy “baby” which is a sign that they are in a relationship.

I gave it 5 stars because I love all the things that they went through to finally get resettled to America. I love all the detail and there was some cliff hangers and this book makes you wanna keep reading it. The story about how they lost their mom is such an amazing story.

My Favorite Character: Hassan

My favorite character is Hassan because he is sometimes funny and has a sense of humor. Even though he only says one word, he is a very cheerful person. He is kind and caring. I love how he can brighten up anyone’s day.

Hassan and Omar Found Out their Getting Resettled

I love how when they got the envelope they saw that it was thick. People say if its thick your most likely to get resettled. They finally got resettled after about 11 years. I was thrilled that they finally got resettled. The envelope had a clear message saying they were getting resettled and when I read that part I jumped out of my seat!

I think that Hassan and Omar are happy and sad to leave for America. They are happy because they might find their mom after all. It’s also sad that they leave because Fatuma can’t take care of the boys she took care of for 7 years and they are finally getting resettled. According to the text, Fatuma is glad the boys are getting resettled. I wonder when and if Fatuma will get resettled. Based off of what I read, the boys feel nervous and in despair to find their mom.
